Esipata Enkop
the rights of Mother Earth from a Masaaï point of view
Inspired by 'Los Derechos de la Pachamama', the Masaaï participatory video team in Kenya started interviewing people in their own community about their visions on the rights of Mother Earth (‘Esipata Enkop’). After having experienced severe droughts, their community members naturally emphasize Mother Earth’s right to healthy rains, rivers and springs and the negative effects of water pollution and charcoal burning.
